Add PDF
The PDF function allows you to display your created documents (e.g. from an Office program) true to the original in your playlists.
After creating a PDF file, you can upload it to your playlist or insert it quickly and easily using drag and drop.
Procedure
- Export a PDF file of the desired document in your program (e.g. Office Word).
- Log in to your user account in the Cloud Portal.
- In the playlist management, upload your PDF to the playlist using the +Symbol → PDF or insert the PDF quickly and easily using drag and drop.
Once you upload a PDF file, a window opens in which you can choose between:
Preserve format
- PDF Pageflip (interactive): Single-page or double-page display of the PDF, with a book fold if required. Automatic turning of pages or display of navigation elements for scrolling forwards and backwards. Compressed file.
- PDF slide show: Play PDF pages as a slide show with transition effects.
Convert to images
- JPG Pageflip (interactive): Conversion of PDF pages into individual images in JPG format. All functions of the PDF Pageflip and an additional editing mode in which individual pages can be removed and additional JPGs added. Large file.
- PNG Pageflip (interactive): Conversion of PDF pages into individual images in PNG format. All functions of the PDF Pageflip and an additional editing mode in which individual pages can be removed and additional PNGs added. Large file.
Click on the format you require and confirm your choice by clicking on → Select.
You can also see how the document was uploaded afterwards by looking at the icon in the playlist.
Edit PDF PageFlip
The inserted PDF file offers you the following setting options:
- Change the Name by overwriting.
- Assign an Alias.
- Determine the Transition.
- Define an Interval.
- Set a Background Color.
- Set a Background Image.
Settings Area Pages
- Select whether you want to display your PDF on one page or on a double page.
- Specify whether the first page should be displayed on one side as a book cover.
- Decide whether a book fold should be displayed.
- Select whether you want navigation elements to be displayed.
- Select the number of seconds until the next screen change. This time specifies after how many seconds the next page should be displayed. This is recommended if no touch function is used.
Editing Mode for PDFs Converted to Images
Click on the Pencil Icon→ to edit the PDF file.
Change Order of Existing Pages
- Click on the relevant page.
- Keep the mouse button pressed and move to the desired position.
- Release mouse button at the desired position.
- Click on → Save, after you have finished your work.
Add Page
Use this function → to upload more PDFs and images.
Use this function → to open the media pool and add more media.
Rezise All Images
If you need all images in a smaller resolution, because you want to reduce the amount of data to ensure a smooth display, then the tool Rezise Images is available for you.
- Open the drop down menu.
- Select the desired resolution.
- Click on → Resize images.
- After you have finished your work, click on → Save.
PDF with Click Events
You can also use the PDF Reader in combination with touch events. Selecting a click event causes to skip to the desired pages of the PDF.
Procedure:
- Create a screen with click events.
- Create a PageFlip file and enter the desired page range in the → Settings
under → Pages. - If you create multiple click events that lead to different page ranges, create new PageFlip files with the desired page ranges.
- In the screen, connect the click event to the desired PageFlip files.
- If necessary, click on → Preview to check the result.
- Click → Save to save your changes or click → Release
to save the playlist and enable it to play on your output device.
