Press the HOME key to access the
home menu.

Press the Back key to return to
the previous option.

Use the Arrow keys to navigate
on the Philips device screen.

Use the Ok key to confirm and activate
a selection.

  I. Set Up Device

  1. Use the remote control to set up the Philips device.
  2. Turn on the device. 
  3. Press the HOME key on the remote control of the device.

Device Settings

HOME Menu

Once you have turned on the device and pressed the HOME key on the remote control of the device, the menu for setting up the device will appear on the screen.

(See illustration on the right side.)

...Now please do the following settings to set up the device...

Configuration 1
  1. Use the arrow keys on the remote control of the device to go to the menu item → Configuration 1 in the left column of the menu.
  2. Press the Ok key on the remote control to access the options on the right side.
Switch On State

  1. This will take you to the option → Switch on state in the middle column of the menu.
  2. Press the Ok key on the remote control to enter the setting.
→ Force On

  1. Use the arrow keys of the remote control to choose the setting option
    Force on.
  2. Then press the Back key on the remote control to accept the setting.

Boot on Source

  1. Use the arrow keys of the remote control to go to the option
    Boot on source.

  2. Then press the Ok key to open the following  input window.
Input Window
  1. Go to → Input and choose the setting option Custom.

  2. Then press the Back key on the remote control to accept the setting.

...Now press the Back key  again to get back to the first tab of the menu...

Configuration 2

  1. Use the arrow keys of the remote control to access the menu item → Configuration 2.

  2. Then press the Ok key on the remote control to get to the provided options.

OSD Rotation

  1. Use the arrow keys of the remote control to go to the option
    OSD rotation.

  2. Then press the Ok key on the remote control to access the setting options.

→ Format

  1. Use the arrow keys of the remote control to access the format setting which you intend to use on your device → Portrait or Landscape.

  2. Then press the Back key on the remote control accept the setting.

...Now press the Back key again to get back to the first tab of the menu...

Advanced Option

  1. Use the arrow keys of the remote control to access the menu item
    Advanced Option.

  2. Now press the Ok key on the remote control to get to the options.

Off Timer

  1. Use the arrow keys of the remote control to access the option
    Off timer.

  2. Press the Ok key on the remote control to get to the setting options.

→ Off

  1. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to select the setting
    Off.
  2. Then press the Back key on the remote control to accept the setting.

Date and Time

  1. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to go to the option
    Date and time.

  2. Press the Ok key on the remote control to open the following window.

Input Window

  1. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to go to the menu item
    Auto Sync.

  2. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to select → Yes.

  3. Then press the Back key on the remote control of the device to confirm the setting.

...Now press the HOME key on the remote control...

...You have now made all settings for setting up the device...

...For setting up the network as well as for setting up the app you need another menu, which you can access with the key combination → HOME + 1888....

Menu HOME + 1888

Press the HOME key on the remote control of the device and then the digits 1888.

This will take you to the main menu for setting up the network and app.

II. Set Up Network

Access Network Settings

  1. Go to the menu item → Network in the now opened main menu by using the arrow keys on the remote control.
  2. Press the Ok key on the remote control to access the network types.

Wi-Fi

  1. Select the network type → Wi-Fi in the appearing menu.
  2. Then press the Ok key on the remote control to confirm the selection.

Connect Wi-Fi

  1. Go to → Select Wi-Fi. You will then receive the available WLAN networks.

  2. Now select your WLAN network and start connecting.

...You have now made the settings for setting up the network...

Android Player App Installation

...To be able to install the app on your Philips device, you need the installation file of the Android player...

  1. Please log in to the Cloud Software web portal using a PC and your access data.
  2. Open the menu under Download in the Home screen.
  3. Select the menu item Android Player.

... the Android Player.apk will be downloaded to the destination folder you specified...

Copy Android Player.apk on USB Stick

  1. Open the destination folder where the file was downloaded.
  2. Insert a USB stick into the port of your PC and copy the Android Player.apk to the stick.

...Remove the USB stick and insert it into the USB port of the Philips device...

Installation of Android Player App on Philips Device

Access HOME + 1888 Menu


Press now the key combination HOME + 1888
on the remote control of the device to access the main menu.

Menu Item Apps

  1. Go to the menu item → Apps.

  2. Press the Ok key to access the corresponding setting options.

File Manager

  1. Select the option → File Manager.

  2. Press the Ok key to access the store types.

→ USB

  1. Select now your USB stick.

  2. Press the Ok key to access the copied Android Player App.
Open Android Player.ap

Go to Android Player.apk and select

Open in the provided context menu.

Install

  1. The screen now shows the permissions.
  2. Go to → Install and confirm by pressing → Ok.

...After the installation you will see this information on the screen → App was installed.

Go to → Done and press → OK...

Connect Player to Web Portal

  1. Press the key combination HOME + 1888 and select the menu item → Apps once more.
  2. Select the Cloud Software App that is now provided.

..The app will start now and display the code to connect the player to the Cloud Software web portal...

Activation Code

The Player starts now and displays an individually generated activation code. Now log in to your cloud account to connect the device to the portal by using the code.

...For this purpose, open the device management (→ Devices) and create/edit a device to enter the displayed code...

Further Settings

Signage Display

  1. Press the key combination HOME + 1888.
  2. Then select → Settings and subsequently → Signage Display.
  3. Then choose → Source settings.

Customize App

  1. Go to → Custom App.
  2. Click on → Select app and then select Cloud Software app.
  3. Enable the app and go to → Save.
  4. Press the OK key on the remote control.

Signage Display

  1. Press the key combination Home + 1888.
  2. Now, select → Signage Display.
  3. Click on Miscellaneous → Misc.
  4. In the opening window, enable → TeamViewer Support.

Now you have completed all necessary steps and you can start releasing your content.
