Add Photowall

General Information

A Photowall is an effective eye-catcher!

A photo and video wall attracts attention and offers a visual experience in a class of its own. Whether in restaurants, shops, offices or hotels, a photo wall enhances every brand appearance and is also an impressive eye-catcher at events.

Application in our Cloud Software

The Photowalls feature in the Cloud Software offers you the unique opportunity to transform any set of pictures, e.g. product images, completed projects or current company events into a visual experience and display them on your screens.

The photowalls are especially useful in waiting areas for entertainment and allow a pleasant and handsome communication with guests, customers and employees.

Cloud Software provides you with two possibilities to integrate contents into a photowall:

1. Possibility → Creating Photowall from Media Pool

2. Possibility → Creating Photowall from External Media Folder

1. Possibility → Creating Photowall from Mediapool

  1. Go to Playlists management.
  2. Select a playlist or create a new playlist. 
  3. Click the Plus Icon→ in Playlists program window.
  4. Select the menu item My Photowall.
  5. Select the menu item My Mediapool.
  6. This will open the Mediapool.

Mediapool

  1. Click on your desired image or video.
  2. To add more media, hold down the Ctrl key and click to select the next media.
  3. Add images and videos as much as desired.
  4. Once you are ready, click on → Okay.

Input Window

  1. This opens a window to specify an individual name for the Photowall.
  2. Then click on Okay.

Playlist Area

The generated photowall appears on the playlist interface with the assigned name.

On the right side you find the setting options → see the following figure as an example.

I. Edit Contents

Here, you have the possibility to manage your selected images and videos.

  1. Determine the order.
  2. Adjust the size.
  3. Add media.
  4. Remove media.

Change the Order

  1. Click on the image or video you want to move to another position in the Photowall.
  2. Keep the left mouse button pressed and drag it to the desired position.
  3. Once you are ready, click on → Save.

Resize All Images

If you need all the images in a smaller resolution because you want to reduce the amount of data to ensure a smooth display, then the Resize Images tool is available.

  1. Open the Drop Down Menu.
  2. Select the desired resolution.
  3. Click on → Resize images.
  4. Click on → Save.

Edit a Single Image

  1. Click the Pen Icon → . Change the numerical value in pixels in the desired box.

Adjust Image Without Preserving Aspect Ratio

  1. Change the numerical value in pixels in the desired box or freely select the desired image section using the →  icon.
  2. Then click → Save.
  3. When you are finished, click → Close.

Adjust Image While Preserving Aspect Ratio

  1. Change the numerical value in pixels in the desired box.
  2. Then click → Apply.
  3. When you are finished click → Close.

Add Media

  1. Click the Upload Button →  to add Media via the Explorer.
  2. Click the Mediapool Button →  to add Media from the Mediapool.
  3. Then click Save.

Remove Media

  1. Click the Delete Button →  which is provided under each image.

Change the Names Above the Images

  1. Click in the field with the name.
  2. Overwrite the name by entering your desired text.
  3. Then click in another area of the program window and make further changes or confirm your entries with → Save.

II. Image Info

If you then activate the → Show Image Info option in the Photowall settings, the text you entered in the previous step will be displayed below the corresponding image. This gives you the possibility to show the appropriate prices or any other text of your choice below the images.

Tip:

If possible, use only short texts so that they are shown in complete form.
If necessary, check how many characters are shown.

III. Banner and Logo

Via Show head banner you decide whether you want your Photowall to display a banner in a colour of your choice. You can also add your individual logo.

IV. Image Change and Transition as well as Zooming Individual Images

You can use the Image change function to bring movement into your Photowall.

  1. Select the number of seconds until the next image change. This time specifies after how many seconds the entire images of the video wall will be rearranged.
  2. Bring your photowall to life by animating the change of images with transition and zoom effects.

     3. You can also specify that individual images are zoomed in when the photowall is
         played. The input field below allows to define the duration of the delay.

V. Audio, Duration and Transition

Muted:

Your Photowall may contain a video with sound. If you do not want this sound to play, enable the → Muted function.

Mute Audio Playlist:
If you have created an audio playlist that plays in the background while the playlist is playing, you can pause it while the Photowall is displayed. This is useful if, for example, the Photowall contains a video with sound that you want to play.

Duration | Transition / Duration | Rotation

Set the playback duration of the photowall and determine the transition by selecting an option from the corresponding drop-down menu as well as its duration to the next playlist content. Initiate a rotation by selecting an option from the corresponding  drop down menu.

  1. If desired, click Preview to check the result.
  2. Click Release to enable the playlist for playback.
  3. Click on Save.

2. Possibility → Creating Photowall from External Media Folder

  1. Go to Playlists management.
  2. Select a playlist or create a new playlist. 
  3. Click the Plus Icon→ . in Playlists program window.
  4. Select the menu item My Photowall.
  5. Select the menu item External Media Folder.
  6. This will open an Input Window to import external media files into the Photowall.

Input Window

You will now see the input window shown below on the Playlists interface.

Now, if you want to include media files from external sources in your Photowall,
follow these steps:

  1. Create a Domain.
    There, load the images and videos intended for the Photowall into a Folder.
     
  2. Now, go to the Playlists Interface of Cloud Software.
    In the opened Input Window, click on the word here to download the PHP Script.
    This PHP Script will check the specified directory for images and videos. Extract the index_php.zip.

  3. Go to your Domain.
    Import the index.php script into the folder where the uploaded images and videos
    are located.

  4. Go to the Playlists Interface of Cloud Software.
    Now enter the URL of the folder in the input field URL which is provided in the
    Input Window.

  5. If needed, adjust the name of your Photowall in the Input Field Name or use the default name.

  6. Confirm your entries with Okay.
  1. If necessary, click on → Preview to check the result.
  2. Click → Save to save your changes or click →Release
    to save the playlist and enable it to play on your output device.
